Nikolaev bars and cafes offer some delicious options to enjoy during your travels here. In particular, the food tends to be quite good, as many of the raw ingredients are fresh, local and organic. Dairy products are usually great, and you can get great meat and potato-type local dishes at any little cafe. Chicken is also a popular local staple.Nikolaev, also known as Mykolayiv , was founded in 1789 and has turned into a major tourist destination with plenty of great sights and culture. There are also some great local wines, although you should steer clear of wines that have more than 15% alcohol content, and be cautious of watered down drinks in bars. In general, though,Nikolaev offers a great culinary and bar-hopping experience for your vacation.
Kazbek
Naberezhnaja Str., 5/1
If you fancy yourself a wine connoisseur you should definitely visit Kazbek during your stay in Nikolaev. The bar features a wine case with over 100 bottles of excellent quality, taken from all around Europe. The atmosphere of Kazbek is nice, and it makes for a relaxing evening excursion.
Roppongi

If you like sushi, check out Roppongi. In addition to the fine food, the bar has a number of great local, Belgian and Japanese beers available, along with the ever-present Saki. The lounge also frequently features live music, from jazz to classic lounge music.
Karavella
Oktjabr'skij Ave.
Karavella falls somewhere in between a cafe and restaurant, but the food is great and they have live music and dancing, so it doesn't seem to important to dwell on the classification. If you're going to have dinner here they are most well known for the seafood.
Malahit

A bit of a whole in the wall, this bar actually has a very nice, mellow atmosphere. Frequently features live music as well.
