The Museum of Natural History is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission to the museum is free. Travelers of all ages will find this attraction exciting. Zurich Zoo

The Zurich Zoo is an exciting place for children and adults. The award-winning zoo has animals from around the world. Animals such as lions, elephants, and giraffes live in their natural zoo habitats where visitors can observe them. In addition to seeing animals from across the globe, visitors can participate in events that take place at the zoo like elephant cleaning. A petting zoo with pigs, sheep, goats, and ponies will keep everyone entertained. The playground is a true paradise for kids. It lets them burn off steam while having some fun. There are several delightful restaurants on-site, but if you feel like packing a lunch you can enjoy the picnic area that is available. A gift shop completes this family attraction. Admission is about $20 per adult and $10 for children. Kids under the age of 6 are free. March through October the Zurich Zoo is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. November through February the zoo is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Mount Pilatus

One of the best views of the Swiss Alps is from the top of Mount Pilatus in Lucerne. Every member of your family or large group will find the experience to be amazing. It's a great addition to your Switzerland Family Travel itinerary. Visitors can reach the top of Mount Pilatus by cable car or on Europe's steepest cog railway. Children will think the ride up the mountain is an adventure out of a storybook and adults will be fascinated with the photo-worthy view. Once visitors arrive at the top of the mountain they will be met with a large viewing platform and also several restaurants. Enjoy the view and grab a bite to eat before you head back to town. Remember to bring extra coats and sweaters because it gets cold. The whole trip will cost $60 per person.
