Obradoiro Square

Web cam situated in a balcony of the Raxoi House in the Obradoiro Square of Santiago de Compostela.
This House is currently the central office of the Galician Government Presidency and also Santiago's town hall.
On the very left side you can find the "Hostal dos Reis Católicos", founded in 1492 by the Catholic King and Queen to assist the pilgrims, and nowadays famous all over the
world.
The Xelmirez House is probably the finest example of civic architecture from the medieval period. It was made for Archbishop Xelmirez in the 12th century.

Cathedral central nave

Web-cam situated on the right lateral in the central nave of the Cathedral of Compostela.
The image shows the Major Chapel, and at the bottom, the High Altar with the figure of Santiago carved in silver by Montaos, from the 18th , and which is embraced by the
pilgrims.
Under the High Altar you can see the relics of the Apostle inside a silver urn.

Quintana Square

Web cam at Parra House, building from the end of the 18th century.
Opposite to it you can see the Conga House. This building was made by Domingo de Andrade at the beginning of the 18th century.
The Clock Tower. Construction from 1316 and rebuilt in the 17th century. It has only one hand, the hours hand.
The Holy Door is a special door of the Cathedral that is only opened during the holy years. That is to say, when July 25th coincides on a Sunday.
The camera shows the external part of the door which is from the 17th century.

Praterías Square

Web cam situated at Dean's House in Vilar Street, today's Pilgrims Office. This building belongs to the 18th century.
In front of us you can see the Treasure Facade and its windows on the left side.
All this work belongs to the 16th century.
Praterías Square is the most secluded square of the old city of Santiago. Its name comes from the emplacement of the silver traders.
