Pontevedra Travel GuideEdit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and see
Although it has no mega-site like the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the old part of the city is immensely pleasing and few things can beat eating hot chestnuts in the square called Herreria, with the pilgrim church of Capilla Peregrina and other fine buildings all around you when the dusk is coming.
There are sundry lovely squares hidden along the narrow twisting roads of the old town which contain dozens of tiny bars selling octopus [pulperias]. If you have not tried octopus, you will be pushed to find anywhere better to give it a try.
