The main sights in Salamanca are all fairly close together. You will no doubt want to see the Cathedral, the University [fine on quality, disappointing on quantity] the Casa de Conchas [House of Shells] and the fantastic Plaza Mayor but here are two places that should not be missed.

1. Convento de San Esteban. The Plateresque facade and the cloisters are very fine indeed and

2.Convento de Las Dueñas - here you will see the best cloisters in the city.
