Sitges is the nicest resort on the Costa Dorada, and is famous for its blinding, white beaches. Here you can take beautiful, long ocean-side walks, and admire the white washed houses.
The museums Cau Ferrat and Maricel are a real must see here and also pay a visit to the pitoresque Old Quarter for some wonderful sightings.
The town can be reached by train from Barcelona or within a 20 minute free or toll motorway drive.
It serves as a good base to visit Monteserrat, or one of the best children's theme parks in Europe; Port Aventurra.
