Getting Around in Salou

Though small, Salou is located a mere 15 minutes away from the Reus airport. The airport features 10 airlines that offer flights all over Europe. Upon arrival 3 bus lines are available for transport from the airport. They are synchronized with flight arrival times for maximum convenience. Another option is to fly into Barcelona, which is only 1 hour from Salou. Buses are also available from Barcelona to Salou. Several train stations are also accessible by bus.
Train Travel
RENFE trains run between Salou and Barcelona daily every 25 minutes to 1.5 hours. The cost is normally between 6 to 7 Euros for regular trains, but intercity trains are usually pricier. Intercity trains may offer transportation when you need it, but with planning to use the regular train is a better bargain.
Bus Travel
Salou is serviced by the bus company “Plana.” Their busses also connect Barcelona to Salou, and run from 8:15 a. m. to 8:15 p.m. every 1 to 2 hours each day. The bus line that connects travelers from Reus airport to Salou is the Costa Daurada line. It also stops in La Pineda and Faro. A typical ride from Reus airport to Salou will cost about 6 Euros and takes approximately 45 minutes. This bus line departs hourly from 5:11 a.m. to 12:11 a.m. each day.
Taxi Travel
Salou offers many affordable and comfortable options for visiting travelers. However, Taxis are very expensive if travelling to Barcelona.
