Edit ThisIf you want to explore all the exciting tourist destinations in Salou, you must keep a proper Salou Itinerary at hand.
Day 1: Port Aventura Theme Park
This is a must visit amusement park located 1.6 km away from Salou. The theme park is split into 5 sections namely Mediterrania, Far West, China, Mexico and Polynesia. Each section includes a special ride along with a host of other attractions to regale the visitors. Some of the rides, like the roller coaster, are thrilling enough to send a chill down your spine.
Day 2: Barcelona Trip
Set out for a Barcelona trip on the second day as Barcelona is only 110 km southwest of Salou. Several buses and trains ply between Salou and Barcelona everyday and the journey will take only about 3 hours. Barcelona has plenty of stunning locations to attract the crowd of tourists. The Gothic Quarter, Paseo de colon and Tibidabo are some of the sights you should not miss out on.
Day 3: Beach
On the third day, bask in the sun on the white sandy beaches of Salou. Salou has an array of fascinating beaches that would make a typical beach bum not wish to go anywhere. Some of its popular beaches are Ponent Beach, Capellans Beach and Llevant Beach. All these beaches provide excellent views and are equipped with amenities like first aid stations and restaurants.
Day 4: The Catalan Farmhouse
The Catalan farmhouse is a wonderful modern reproduction of ancient farmhouse built with materials recycled from old buildings to give it an authentic rural touch. If you visit the place in summer, you may get to buy handicrafts from different crafts stores. During Christmas, you may see traditional Catalan performances upon the nativity.
Day 5: Taragona
Located about 7 miles north of Salou, Taragona is a beautiful city replete with astounding remains of Roman architecture. The Cathedral here is an attractive tourist spot. In addition, the well-preserved remnants of Roman Empire including an amphitheater, an aqueduct, and the Pont del Diable are some of the tourist attractions here.
Day 6: Shopping
This day is meant for shopping. Salou provides ample opportunities to tourists for shopping as it has a large number of posh boutiques scattered around the city. You may purchase latest fashion wear from these boutiques. Besides, there are flea markets and the British supermarkets where you can purchase grocery items.
Day 7: The House of Illusion
You may spend the last night of your tour out in the House of Illusion with your family and friends. As the name suggests the House of Illusion is a magical hub where illusionists play amusing tricks to entertain people. The shows are so popular here that unless you book tickets in advance, you may have trouble getting seats.
