The town's popularity among tourists means that there is a variety of facilities in place to cater to visitors' needs. Platja d'Aro is located on transport routes and is therefore easy to access. The warm weather makes this a destination that is visited all year round.
Beaches
Platja d'Aro is the perfect place for a beach holiday. Visitors can
enjoy sunbathing and taking refreshing swims in the ocean. The white
sandy beaches stretch along the ocean providing enough space to go for
relaxing walks. The well-kept promenades offer ample space for an
evening stroll. Along the beach are coves which provide privacy as well
as offering hidden areas to explore. The beaches are blue flag beaches
and are therefore in pristine condition. Plaja Gran beach is visited by
many tourists every year. At this beach there are lifesavers on duty to
ensure that visitors are safe while swimming. Play areas near the beach
offer entertainment for children. Enjoy a delicious meal while admiring
the view over the ocean at one of the beach-side restaurants. Bars
provide refreshments and are a lively place to have an evening drink.
Other facilities at this beach include showers and toilets. There are
sports facilities such as volleyball as well as an abundance of water
sports to choose from. Parking areas are situated nearby for your
convenience.
This huge amusement park stretches over 600 square meters and offers a fun-packed day of entertainment. The broad range of activities means that there is something to suit all age groups. There are special playgrounds for young children that ensure that they are kept entertained within a safe environment. For the more adventurous thrill seekers there are roller coasters and other exciting rides. The ice rink provides fun for the whole family. Magic Park is also host to a variety of shows.
Aquadiver Waterpark
This water park offers a respite from hot days and an alternative to going to the beach. The are splash pools for smaller children as well as adventure rides and slides. The more daring visitors should take a ride on the rapids or go on the Kamikaze slide. Aquadiver Waterpark is equipped with all the necessary facilities to make it a top-class entertainment center. The on-site restaurant provides visitors with refreshments.
