Budget Travel Ideas in Platja d'Aro

suit every traveler. It's important to know about Platja d'Aro budget travel, and the following will help you enjoy your trip to Platja d'Aro, while keeping you budget in mind.
Camping
Traveling on a budget? Pack your camping gear and head for one of several campgrounds available in and around town. Fees go from 3.20€ to 9.00€ per adult per night and from 1.90€ to 7.00€ per child. Prices also differ for the size of the tent as well as if you are driving a car or motorcycle. Most campgrounds offer some service and amenities, such as a snack bar or restaurant.
Pension (boarding house)
You can also choose to stay in a pension, where you can rent rooms but no on-site amenities are available, such as Pensio Cliper, Pensio La Marina, Pensio Ancla and Pensio Rodriguez, for around 25€ per person in a double occupancy.
Free guided tours
Throughout the year, the tourism board offers free guided tours of the Roman settlement of Pla de Palol, the old center of Castell d'Aro and the Coastal Path of s'Agaro. Winter visitors should make a reservation for these tours.
Beaches
Admission to all public beaches in Platja d'Aro is free. The main beach offers several services and amenities and the smaller beaches are limited in services. If you are heading to the northern end of the coastal area, you should bring a picnic lunch with you as the beaches surrounding is not as urbanized and there are no restaurant available. You can also go to the Beach Fun area and take part in several beach sports on the main beach, such as volleyball, windsurfing, rugby and football.
Festivals
Several festivals take place throughout the year and are free to attend, such as the Carnival in February, the summer festival fireworks on June 23rd and the Platja d'Aro Te Premi! Summer festival, from July to December, when people who find special seashells on the main beach win prices, with the event culminating in December with the drawing of a car from all seashells found and from draw tickets given by restaurants to their customers.
Hiking
Hiking is also very popular with locals and tourists alike. There are several trails available, such as the route to Sant Marc and Riera de Molins, which is 10km long and takes 2½ hours to complete, the route to Torrent de Malany, which is 14 km long and takes 4¼ hours to complete. Both routes have signs and posts indicating the paths through town and countryside. You can also rent a bicycle and ride it on the Via Verda. This path uses spaces where the old train line used to run, giving you the opportunity to discover great historical and cultural areas that you would not get the chance to see otherwise. The section of the Via Verde going through town is 39 km long and offers packed gravel pavement and very gentle slopes, making it ideal for cyclists of all ages.
