Canillas de Aceituno Travel Guide

Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and see
Canillas de Aceituno is a small village typical of those you can find across the length and breadth of Andalucia in southern Spain. As you approach, up a road that winds its ways through the arid foothills of the Axarquia, it appears as a white smudge against the dun of the landscape.

A huddle of narrow streets clustered around a church and a couple of squares, Canillas de Aceituno is nevertheless well decked out with a couple of inviting bars and restaurants and has a generally relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The village makes for a great jump-off point for the great walking that the Sierra de Tejeda national park offers or for exploring the other nearby villages of Sedella, Salares, Colmenar and Iznate.
