Vitoria is located in the heart of the Basque Country in Spain, 66 km
south of Bilbao, 114 km from San Sebastian and 351 km from Madrid.
Vitoria is the political capital of the Basque country and administration was recently relocated from Bilbao to Vitoria. Spanish is the main language, but Basque language is common and English is not spoken everywhere.
You can visit Vitoria coming from Bilbao Airport on a toll road or using public transport (bus). Vitoria has a small Airport (Aeropuerto Vitoria-Foronda) 8 km north of the town with a few flight destinations.
