Soller Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeThe town of Sóller has been quite distinct from Puerto de Sóller, to which it is linked by bus and, far preferable, aged tram. Building extension to both is likely to turn them more into a single place eventually.
Meanwhile you may well prefer to stay in the town, which is less of a resort, if you want somewhere with a spanish feel. There are good art nouveau elements in the town itself and the Botanical Gardens are worth a visit, as much for the perfect view of the town's mountain setting as for the plants. There are other gardens (Jardines de Alfabia) to visit on the direct bus route to Palma.
Biniaraix and Fornalutx are easily accessible on foot and this gives access to mountain walks at all levels.
If you want to stay in winter, book early as many places close at this time.
