Palma de Mallorca or La Ciutat as the locals call it, is quite a nice city with a lot of history and many things to do and see. Highlights are the cathedral and La Almudaina, the "Royal Palace", which was constructed over the remains of the Muslim Alcazar and was the residence of the early kings of Mallorca.
Palma also has good shopping and a great nighlife scene.
