Getting There in Seville
Edit ThisSevilla Vacation by Air - Sevilla Airport is connected to the main European capitals and lies 12 km from the city. Airport buses have few departures. If your intention is to drive around Andalucia, you will find that Malaga (210 km away) is connected to more European cities and often has cheaper flights than Sevilla. www.sevilla-airport.com
Sevilla Trip by Rail - A high-speed train (AVE), presently the only high-speed train in Spain and a legacy from Expo 92, offers a splendid service between Sevilla and Madrid in 2.30 hours. There is a departure every hour from the Santa Justa station. It is prudent to book in advance and fare is expensive but well worth the price (www.raileurope.com). On the contrary, rail connections between Sevilla and other cities, in and outside Andalucia, are usually very slow. Excellent information in English can be found at www.renfe.com.
Sevilla by Bus - On all routes, within Andalucia and to most cities in Spain, bus services are usually very efficient and reliable. There are two bus stations in Sevilla, El Prado and Plaza de Armas.
