THE SOČA RIVER  (Bovec area )

The vigorous rapids and cascades of the childishly mischievous and primitive emerald river have carved beautiful channels and colourful pools throughout the centuries. The Soča Path through the Trenta Valley leads directly to its spring.

 

The Boka waterfall (Bovec area)

THE BOKA WATERFALL   ( Bovec area )

The waters of this mighty waterfall, which are accumulated in the Kanin Range and interwoven with karstic caves and chasms, fall freely during the first 106 metres, and then drop another 30 metres. Boka is the most powerful Slovenian and one of the most magnificent European waterfalls.

KLUŽE FORT (Bovec area)

This exceptional fort, named Kluže, has guarded the passage between the sea and the Alps since ancient times. This historic site has been marked by the Venetians, the Habsburgs, Austrian and French soldiers, Napoleon, the Soča Front, and World War I.
