Visitors lucky enough to be here in December should not miss the Christmas Market that is a stunning motley of full-bodied culinary treats and traditional gifts. The colorful collage of ethnic wares and an unswerving aroma of perfumes and flavors is worth experiencing. The merchants are very friendly and will not push their wares down your throat unlike other touristy destinations. The ethnic market is buzzing with locals sitting by a roadside eatery and catching up with peers. The region is also famous for the fine boiled wine that can be purchased here.

4. Old town discovery

To witness a true account of Brtislava’s accommodating spirit, take a walk down the old town. The region is humming with activity and is a storehouse of innumerable cafes, restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops  and even high-fashion boutiques.

5. Slavin calling

This striking monument was erected in the memory of victims of the Bratislava Battle and is the highest vantage point in the city, thus offering some of the most breathtaking glimpses of Bratislava and its surrounding areas. A heady romantic getaway on warm summer nights.
