Many of Belgrade's hotels are embodied with wonderful architecture. The most famous ones being the ones listed below. You can find many smaller hotels all around the city at a very affordable rate however the ones listed below will let you explore the city much more creatively as they have much more info about it and lie, for the most part, in the city's heart.

Hotel Hyatt (5 star): 8-story deluxe hotel  within walking distance of Sava Congress Center, a modern conference and concert venue, 5 minutes by car to the city center, 15 minutes to Belgrade Airport. 308 Rooms, 27 Junior suites, 14 Executive suites, Diplomatic suite and Presidential Suite. Guest rooms with individually controlled A/C, private bath with separate shower, international direct dial, mini bar, color television with remote control showing satellite programs. Variety of guest services: a few luxurious shops are located one level below the marble lobby that resembles a monumental temple. Really impressive environment, but lacks the ambience of a warm hotel. The staff are predominantly good-looking young people. However, we don't think such a hotel should be the place where trainee students from the college are so extensively and consistently used in all phases of the hotel and restaurant field. Breakfast is not included in the basic price. Does the room rate of about $220 per night sound expensive?

Intercontinental Hotel (5 star):   Situated on the left bank of the Sava river, near Sava Congress Center, 5 minutes by car to the city center, 15 minutes to Belgrade Airport. 376 rooms, 22 suites, 1 Presidential Suite, 22 connecting rooms, 102 non-smoking rooms, 2 rooms with disabled facilities. Guest rooms: remote control TV, pay TV, 22 movie and satellite channels, direct-dial telephones, 1 line, 2 lines in selected rooms, voice mail, mini bar, in-room safe. Business Rooms and Services. Variety of guest services, and a few distinctive shops. Nice atmosphere and much activity in the lobby, especially in the morning or evening, with an airline crew arriving or waiting to leave. Sprawl out in a great leather easy chair, have a drink, and watch the movement behind the scenes. This hotel serves the best buffet breakfast in town. Expensive accommodation, but still affordable!

Aleksander Palace (5 star):A new and discrete oasis of utmost luxury in the very heart of Belgrade! The private ‘Aleksandar Palas’ hotel is situated in one of the most arresting Neo-Renaissance buildings of the historical center, just a few meters from the main pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova Street and close to the Orthodox Cathedral and Belgrade Fortress. In the same building there is the well-known and fancy café-restaurant ‘Que Passa’ (a popular gathering place for local celebrities and ‘yuppies’) as well as the elegant ‘Kraljevina (The Kingdom)’ Restaurant. The hotel is member of the 'Great Hotels of the World' and offers 9 exclusive apartments – suites (all differently designed), three in each floor. Each unit has a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. The living room is furnished with cozy furniture, air condition (the guest himself can fix the temperature), ventilation, direct internet, telephone with a direct line, TV with satellite and local programs, mini bar. The bedroom has, apart from a comfortable king size bed, DVD Home Cinema System, TV with satellite and local programs, direct internet line, direct telephone line and a small safe deposit box.

Hotel Moscow (4 star): This old established hotel is situated in the very heart of the city, in the middle of its main commercial district. The attractive palace style building (1906, Art Nouveau) is a recognizable Belgrade landmark. It has a restaurant, 2 cafes, aperitif bar, banquet hall, business lounge, limited parking. It is well-decorated and well-maintained and has 6 'diplomatic' suites, 40 duplex suites and 132 single or double rooms offering modern comfort. The rooms (some  furnished with real antiques) have TV, mini bar, radio. The entrance is from the rear (approach from a sidestreet), and the lobby is small and doesn't quite look like that of a first-class hotel. But wait till you get upstairs! There's no scrimping on space here, where everything is large and spacious, with high ceilings. The Moskva also boasts a quietly efficient front-office staff, and a concierge who seems to be able to handle the problem of luggage lost from an inbound flight (experienced by one of our clients). The Moskva is by far the best centrally located hotel in Belgrade.

Hotel Palace (4 star): One of the oldest Belgrade hotels is located in the area of Old Town, within walking distance of Knez Mihailova Street, Belgrade Fortress and the Orthodox Cathedral. The Palace was built in the 1920s, and has probably the most elegant facade of any hotel in Belgrade, with some embellishments you'd find in a French hotel of that period. The hotel's entrance faces a tiny square with a circular garden in the center and trees all around, a few shops, cafes and restaurants. There are 2 hotel restaurants ( Classic in the lobby and Belgrade Panorama on the sixth floor offering good view of downtown Belgrade). There is also a banquet hall, bar, exchange office, TV/Internet lounge, casino and a garage with car wash service.  All 70 rooms and 15 suites are nicely appointed, most of them recently renovated or refurbished. The Palace Hotel is a partner of the Hotel Staff School of Belgrade.

Hotel Sumadija (4 star): Though not centrally located (but close to the Belgrade Fairground and the river island of Ada Ciganlija), this is one of the most elegant accommodations Belgrade has to offer. The old hotel from the communism and 'social realism' era of 1970s has recently been privatized and completely renovated to the highest European standards. In keeping with its surroundings ('Banovo brdo' is one of Belgrade's postwar working-class neighborhoods), the building itself is a non-attractive, concrete edifice without balconies, but when you step inside a whole different world awaits you. In total, there are 130 beds in medium sized and nicely appointed single and double rooms, all with fully-equipped mini bar, A/C, cable TV, Internet access, as well as a few apartments. At the small reception desk you will meet young, helpful and kind staff who are very cordial to the guests. There is a cafeteria and a restaurant designed in the style of modernism. As a primarily business hotel it offers a few conference rooms and corresponding business service. To reach the city center you can take a taxi or why not try using public transport - there are both tram and bus lines.
