Hotels in Portugal
Edit ThisAny trip to Portugal would not be complete without a visit to some of the beautiful Portugal hotels that make this country such a famous tourist destination. From beachside resorts to quaint country villas and everything in between, Portugal's hotels are as varied as the landscape of this beautiful destination. There are top-end luxury accommodations mixed in with cheap and attractive deals for tourists on a budget. What follows is a brief guide to some of the hotels in the top tourist destinations in Portugal.
Lisbon Hotels
Britania Hotel is one of the top hotels in all of Lisbon, and is a great example of a traditional Portuguese traveling experience. A small boutique hotel with plenty of class and unique cultural decorations, this hotel is a bit pricier than most. However, the exemplary service and excellent rooms more than make up for the cost. Other great hotels to try in Lisbon include the Lapa Palace and, for those on a bit tighter budget, the Real Palacio. All of these hotels and many more come highly rated. There are also a huge number of affordable backpacker accommodations and hostels throughout the city.
Albufeira Hotels
The Porto Bay Falesia and the Riu Palace Algarve are two of the most popular resort destinations in this coastal town, located at the southern tip of Portugal in the popular, beach-covered Algarve region. There are a number of luxury resorts for every taste and budget level, but there are also smaller bed and breakfast-style accommodations in this part of the country as well. Look for names like Dianamar and Casa Amarela for a unique, more intimate place to stay.
Porto Hotels
Porto is the third most popular tourist destination, surrounded by lovely beaches on the coast of Portugal. This area is somewhat smaller than either of the two listed previously, and the hotel listings are a bit less plentiful. There is still no shortage of excellent places to stay for any price range. The top hotels in the Porto region include the Tiara Park Atlantic Porto and the Sheraton Hotel and Spa in Porto as well.
Portugal is one of the top tourist destinations in the entire world, and you'll be well served to investigate hotels thoroughly and well in advance of your trip in order to get the best selection and the best prices.
