Whatever else you do, be sure to go to the Mercado dos Lavradores, a market on three floors, the bottom one being given entirely to fish.
Recommendation: Try to taste scabbard fish, a local delicacy, before you see it here. It's delicious with a very delicate taste but is it ugly!!
