Vila Nova Cacela is a great little place to visit. A small town just off the N125 road. If your there early enough visit the indoor fish market. Its a real treat, abeit a bit smelly....Also try the Red Cafe for Frango ( BBQ Chicken ) chips and salad. Also try the more traditional Chicken Georges on the cross roads in the centre of the town. Lots of little bars in the centre area. There are some public showers which for a small charge provide hot water. These are in front of the primary school next to the square. Also, not sure if still exsists, try the little bar across the road from the railway station, its on the main line to Faro. Also Cacela has a camp site for those who want to rough it.....Has a post office in the town. Also once a month there is a market in the town on a Sunday, I think its the 1st Sunday in the month. A great time can be had by all. Try the fango sold by the gypsie Folk with the " Piri Piri "
