Bars and Cafes in Faro

Edit This

The Faro Bars and Cafes are definitely something that one needs to experience while on vacation in Faro. Cafes are a great place for grabbing a cup of coffee; you can even sit outside and enjoy the fresh air while drinking your coffee. At night, you can find bars that provide live entertainment or just offer a quiet place to sit back and enjoy the view with family and friends.

Alianca

If you are looking for a nice relaxing café, where you can sit back and read a good book while enjoying a cup of coffee this is the place to go. This café attracts many of the locals who like to sit and talk about how things used to be--which is a great way to find out about the history of Faro. Along with indoor seating, there is also outdoor seating, which is great if the weather permits.

Piramides

If you are looking for a little more action at a café, Piramides is the place to go. Here you can grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the fresh air, but you can also grab a quick bite to eat. Along with the traditional dishes, that a café serves, Piramides offers some fancy dishes that you won’t find elsewhere. If you came to Faro with a group this is a great meeting spot.

Gardy

Most cafes focus on coffee and tea, with light snacks, but very few cafes focus on desserts. This café is more along the lines of a patisserie, which is similar to a bakery. The patisserie specializes in sweets and pastries, rather than coffees and teas. If you are looking to cure a sweet tooth, you must visit Gardy.

Columbus

If you are looking for a quiet place to have a drink, but want something with a view, then Columbus is the place to go. Columbus is located right next to the park, so some of their tables face the park, but even better is the tables that face the harbor. You can find the Columbus bar on the corner of Rua Joao Dias.

Taberna Da Se

This café has a younger clientele, so older tourists might not feel as comfortable here. If you are looking for a nice place to grab a drink Taberna Da Se is a nice place to go, and they even feature live music on occasion. On nicer nights, you can enjoy the outdoor seating, if you show up early enough to get a table.
