JAILHOUSE

This is the only live music venue in carvoeiro that has live music every night.

It is a Carvoeiro institution and has been here since the early 60's with lots of very famous acts and musicians visiting over the years.  There is still a lively clientelle and there is dancing till the early hours either to the live music or disco dvd's most nights.

It is a beautiful old plaster and woodwork building and feels like a proper pub, not just a converted shop unit or cafe bar. Live music doesn't start till about 10pm so go for diner first then here afterwards for a more..

Rascals

Heading up the steep hill to Monte Branco, this beautifully decorated bar with its own terrace facing out to sea, is an ideal resting stop.  Serving anything from a beer to champagne (at reasonable prices) along with scrumptious sandwhiches and snacks.  Recently refurbished it will soon become the place to be seen at in Carvoeiro.
