Safari Tour

Believe it or not but a safari tour can be taken into the interior back blocks from Albufeira. Not a wildlife tour although if you have enough wine tasting along the way you may see some pink elephants. It is a dusty ride in the back of jeeps but well worth it. It covers quite a bit of territory and scenic little villages are visited. A traditional Portugese lunch of chicken is supplied at a popular swimming place where you can also join in the fun. It takes most of the day and the guides do an excellent job of keeping you well informed. The tour can be booked at the tourist information centre.
