There is an abundance of great Albufeira bars and cafes located about the town. Nearly every type of theme is represented from English pubs to all night clubs. Those who want an all night drinking and dancing experience will not have far to go while those who simply want a quiet drink and a nice meal will not need to go far, either.

BJ's

BJ's bar is located on the strip and is a great place for the 20-something crowd. The drinks are well-priced and the music selection very eclectic. The staff is friendly and helpful as are many of the out of town visitors who come in. BJ's seems to attract many of the young English and Irish crowds vacationing in Albufeira who want to escape the dreaded weather back home. Expect lots of football talk but also a good time.

The Lord Nelson Bar and Pub

Although owned by a local couple, The Lord Nelson Bar still manages to keep a fair amount of its English pub atmosphere. The food is fantastic and the owners are happy to cook for guests despite the time of the day or night. They have also created a children's play area so parents can relax while the kids occupy themselves. The owners work to create an atmosphere of relaxation and fun. Guests are welcome to use the pool table to whittle the hours away.

Erin's Isle Irish

The Irish in Albufeira describe this pub as their home away from home. The staff is incredibly hospitable, welcoming both adults and children to the establishment. Beers cost about 1.50 euros, making them highly reasonable when compared with pubs in Dublin. Traditional Irish cuisine is also served with one of the most sought-after dishes, bacon and cabbage.

La Bamba

Another favorite establishment on the strip, La Bamba will keep you dancing until dawn. La Bamba is open during the day but the night time party atmosphere doesn't get going until much later in the evening. La Bamba is known for a great time, great music and gorgeous bar staff.

Charlie's Bar

Charlie's Bar features the best of both worlds. During the day it is the perfect place for a nice meal and a quiet drink. Children are welcome and the breakfasts are nothing short of heavenly. Charlie's Bar is also open late, until 3 a.m., and provides excellent night time entertainment. The food and the drinks are quite inexpensive and the staff is very welcoming.
