Shopping in Krakow

Edit This
Be familiar with the best malls and outlets in Poland’s next largest city to Warsaw before engaging in an actual Krakow Shopping activity. Establishments are made available for locals and tourists alike ever since the start of the 21st century and have continued to grow alongside the city’s growing economy. More than just visiting old historical sites, you also ought to exercise your buying power in this city of good deals and bargains.

Bonarka

One of the largest malls in the city, Bonarka is a one-stop place for people who want to do shopping, exploring and eating in one day. It contains almost everything one may need, from clothing stores to restaurants. Known brands such as Zara and H&M are also available. Fashion is not updated though and price-haggling is quite impossible. Prices range from 300 Euro for suits to 40 Euro for trousers.

Galeria Kazimierz

If you want some equally entertaining experience, you must not overlook Galeria Kazimierz. Same as Bonarka, this mall boasts of the numerous stores it has available to offer, from local brands to international ones such as Nike and Adidas for sportswear. Facilities such as gyms and theaters are also present. Just keep in mind that for the aforementioned apparel, rates start at approximately 90 euro.

Galeria Krakowska

Much smaller than the preceding malls, Galeria Krakowska is still a competent candidate to the city’s best shopping centers. Other than clothing and footwear, entertainment products are also sold by some stores in this establishment. Music and Movie CD's are released on time as it is for the rest of Europe. As for local readings and books, most of items in the rack are in German, English or French. It might be hard to find some that are of languages other than the mentioned.

Krakow Plaza

One of Krakow’s five most popular malls, Krakow Plaza is considered accessible and fairly easy to explore for its size. But what this mall is most credited for is its IMAX theater. You may also do some food shopping if you want. However, fresh farm products can be bought from the local marketplace.

Old Town Historic District

If you are working on a strict budget, you can always buy from the best bargain shops downtown. Along the streets of Krakow, you may find stores that sell clothes and other items at reasonable prices. Just make sure you prepare your zloty, the Polish currency, for those who don’t accept Euros. Moreover, most shopping spots are closed on major national holidays.
