Climate

The Old Town is a must-see when visiting Krakow, as it displays remarkable architecture that has been preserved over the years. Planty Park, founded in 1822, is a well known park in Krakow. It surrounds the Old Town, taking the place of town walls. The area is divided into smaller gardens that are decorated with monuments. With an area of 4 kilometres, Planty Park is a good place to go for a walk. Jordan Park is another good place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, with many facilities including a swimming pool and exercise equipment.

Festivals

There are many cultural events held in Krakow, including music festivals showcasing many different styles of music such as baroque, classical polish and contemporary music. The Krakow Film festival is a well established event renowned throughout Europe.

Transport

The region can be reached by air as Krakow airport is located 11 kilometers outside the city. You can get around the city by bus or car. There are also private minibuses and tramlines. It is easy to travel around the historic areas by foot or catch a rickshaw. Rail stations connect cities and travel to some international destinations.
