DYRE VAA
Edit This
Trendy cafe, restaurant and bar serving lunch and dinner. Dyre Vaa is focusing on great food to affordable prizes. Is also open night-time in weekends. Serves brunch every Sunday.
The restaurant's bar and table tops were made of teak, reused from the cruise ship MS Monterey. Interior is by the Norwegian designer Lars E. Hole, from Hole Design AS. The installation on the wall, in the hallway on the right side of the bar, is Welhaven’s poetry “Dyre Vaa” written by the young artist Jan Haakon Robson. The Installation on the back wall, with the statues, on the left side of the bar, is created by designer and photographer Annette Nordström Steen. The Statue in the left teak box is an original plaster sculpture by Dyre Vaa of the Norwegian artist Christian Krogh. The right sculpture is “self sculpture” of Dyre Vaa. He created it when he got the assignment to make the statues on the Anker Bridge.
