Zoetermeer is a town in the province of South Holland (in the west of the Netherlands). Although much of the town looks modern with apartment complexes and shopping centers, there is a collection of old buildings including a medieval clock tower. Zoetermeer is very well connected by road and rail. The A12 motorway passes through the town. There is a metro-like rail system and a 15-minute train ride gets you to The Hague.

Zoetermeer is working a lot to become the leading city in reacration in the area. There's a project called "Dutch Water Dreams"
