Kasteel Doorwerth

Situated in Doorwerth which is located in the outskirts of Wageningen, this is a splendid castle that has been around since time immemorial. The castle is open to the public and is considered to be one of the most famous landmarks of Doorwerth. Today, the castle is no longer inhabited and has been turned into a public attraction. The castle was built during 1260 and has been used as a home of royalties of the Netherlands. The place can be reached by riding a bus or driving a rented car to Doorwerth for two hours.
