Located about halfway between West-Terschelling and Oosteinde, Formerum is a small village dominated by a wind-mill, where you can drink coffee. The beach is 2 km away, going through a very nice forest and then some pretty dunes.
On the way you pass a place where children can ride ponies for a few euros.
The town also has a supermarket and three or four bike rental shops.
