1. Wilhelmina Tower Chair Lift

The scenic chair lift leading up to the famous Wilhelmina Tower takes the number 1 spot as a must-do in this city. This ride sends you soaring high above the ground below, providing an excellent view of the tower and the nearby Hotel Atlanta Valkenburg. Once at the top, you are also allowed to tour the historic Wilhelmina Tower that crests the top of the hilltop at the end of this high flying adventure.

2. Wilhelmina Bobsled Ride

At the crown of the hilltop that is home to the Wilhelmina Tower, you can make your way back down to the bottom while having a blast riding the Wilhelmina Bobsled. It does cost an extra fee in order to enjoy this ride while descending the hill, but it does beat walking down the stairs beside it.

3. Fairytale Forest Valkenburg

Valkenburg's Fairytale Forest is an excellent getaway for families visiting the city with young children in tow. An amusement park that caters primarily to children between the ages of 3 to 10 years old, the theme of the attractions all live up to the park's name, with a surplus of rides that inspire us to live out the fairytale stories of our youth. Your children will love this destination, and you will enjoy spending time with them here.

4. Valkenburg Stoomtrein (Steam train)

The trains that we know today are not the locomotive, steam powered beasts that our great grandparents boarded during their days. Valkenburg has one of the very last functioning steam engines that actually run on a track in the area. Go experience this excellent train ride and hit different points within the city and other nearby towns as well for an excellent and humbling experience.

5. Thermae 2000

The place will help you relax after a long day of exploring the town. Thermae 2000 is a world renown luxury spa that will help you wave farewell to all of your worries, at least for the afternoon, with its copious amount of indoor swimming pools, whirlpools, springs, garden terraces—he list goes on.
