Zuiderstrand
Edit ThisThe zuiderstrand (south beach) is significantly less crowded than its
counterpart on the other side of the port. It is not as easy to reach
by public transport, as most of it is located behind the Westduinpark,
with 226 ha. the largest park in The Hague. The beach is predominently
visited by locals, since tourists generally don't even know this
stretch of beach exists.
The beach runs from the port to The Hagues second beach resort, Kijkduin.

Noorderstrand
Edit ThisNoorderstrand (North beach) is the busiest, liveliest and most famous
of the two beaches. It starts at the WW2 Atlantik Wall fortifications
at the Zwarte Pad and ends at the Noordelijk Havenhoofd. The famous
Kurhaus with the Pier is located at this beach, as is the old Village
of Scheveningen.
