Watersports and Other Activities at the Marken Beaches
The beaches around Marken offer visitors a variety of activities to keep themselves busy if tanning is not enough. You could go surfing, diving, sailing, water-skiing, fishing or swimming. If sailing is your thing, hire a fully furnished and equipped yacht to take a tranquil cruise around the shore lines and anchor for the night in the calm, rippling waters of the lake.
You can also enjoy some beach games or sports on the beaches like football, cricket or volleyball. One of the most popular games played on the Marken beaches is Picigin. Other than water polo, this game is practiced and played by the locals during the finer summer days. The object of the game is to keep the ball from falling to the ground, which can prove to be much harder than one would think, as the players try to challenge each other.
