Every year on the third of October the end of the Leiden's siege by the Spannish is celebrated. There is a lunapark and a lot of bands and DJs performing live on stages all over the town.
Lakenfeesten
Edit ThisEvery first weekend of July, Leiden celebrates the Lakenfeesten, a series of open-air events of which the main are the Dragon Boat Race and the Peurbakkentocht, a canal tour with dozens of boats displaying the creativity of many local groups, cafes, and organisations.
