When looking at Hilversum hotels there is a decent amount of choice in both location and price.

Hotel Ravel

Hotel Ravel is not very far from the city's center and is arguably the best hotel in Hilversum. You can walk to both the station and the city center from the hotel. It has 20 rooms with attached bathrooms along with television and WI-FI Internet access.  The Internet access is free and this may be important in determining your choice of hotel. Apart from the city center there is a good golf course nearby, as well. The décor is also interesting and it is built in a villa style. The cost of the hotel starts in the range of $130 per night. It is a four-star hotel and does seem to consistently get good reviews.

Amrath Grand Hotel

If you decide to stay at Amrath Grand Hotel, you need to know that you are actually staying in a historical monument. Amrâth Grand Hotel & Restaurant Gooiland was built in the early 20th century and is a protected monument now. It actually is located in the center of Hilversum so there is no question of access.  As the name suggests, the hotel has its own theater. It also has a Japanese restaurant and a wok restaurant. And to top it all off, it has a discotheque.  It has an attached bathroom, television and there is a desk, too. And it is also slightly less expensive than the Hotel Ravel. You will pay extra for the Internet and it is right in the city's center so there is a noise issue. The building is old, so there are some comfort issues. But, if you balance the positives and the negatives, you may come to the conclusion that it is worth the price--which starts around $120 a night.

Tulip Inn Hilversum

Tulip Inn is not the most posh or pricey, but it is fairly decent. It is built in a villa style and it is in the Gooi District, not very far from Media Park. It is not that far from central Hilversum, either. It is a decent stay and is worth it for the budget traveler with prices starting in the range of $100 a night.

The choices in Hilversum are not many but cover the spectrum fairly completely. You have to decide how close you need to be to the city's center and how important the price and amenities like the Internet are. Once you decide on that, your choice is made for you.
