Eating Out in Haarlem
Edit ThisRestaurants and Diners
Specktakel Restaurant
In all of Haarlem this restaurant is the recommended place to eat dinner. The location is great since it is in the old town center. One special item is that Specktakel has a fabulous wine list. For the cuisine the restaurant prepares dishes from all over the world. Thai, Australian, American dishes and many others are here for you to eat. The serving personnel are just fantastic. This should be on your must do list for places to dine.
De Ark Restaurant
This 2-storied old fashion building is home to one of Haarlem’s finest dining places. The interior is set in its original 1940s style. The food is delicious and is reasonably priced. A specialty served here is Portuguese stewed beef. You also have excellent choices from the Dutch and French menus. The waitresses are very pleasant and service is quick.
Psst..Amigo
Right smack in the heart of the Haarlem old main square is this elaborate Mexican restaurant. The ambiance of this restaurant is in itself worth the stop here. Spanish arches and birds in cages set the tone. You will really enjoy the food prepared here at Psst..Amigo. It is authentic Mexican cuisine. The prices are right and you can get a meal and a movie combo on Monday through Wednesday. The theater is next door to the restaurant.
Jacobus Pieck
If you are looking for a nice place to sit down during the day to have a bite to eat, then Jacobus Pieck is the diner for you. This popular diner serves people from the time it opens until closing. The restaurant serves a lot of great salads and the sandwiches are probably the best on the square. Jacobus Pieck is also known for its rich tasty pastas. The prices won’t break you, so it is a good place to eat if you are on a budget.
There are many small restaurants in the center of Haarlem. Just browsing through the old center you are sure to run into a restaurant. All that you find here should have good food.

De Bokkedoorns
Edit ThisTwo Michelin-star restaurant - one of the best in the whole of the Netherlands. Not exactly IN Haarlem, but in the vicinity, on the way from Haarlem/Bloemendaal to the coast. The food is excellent indeed, but a thick wallet is recommended, especially if you want to get some wine on the side.

Dreefzicht
Edit ThisAsian wok specialities. Good price quality ratio, but there are a lot of other restaurants in the centre of Haarlem that offer the same value for money. Not near tourist-attractions, but if you're driving by and very hungry I guess it's worth a try...
