Warffum
The village of Warffum is 20 minutes for Groningen. A “mound village”, Warffum was constructed to be above flood levels. Everything in the village is constructed above the line, including livestock pens. Just outside the village is a medieval fair that is open during the weekends from 10 am to 5 pm. This village is one of the most historic villages in the Netherlands. Warffum is connected to Groningen by train. It is easily accessible by car as well.
Uithuizen
