Genneper Park
Located in the center of Eindhoven, Genneper Park offers bicycle and hiking nature trails. Recreational activities included within the park are the Zwemparadijs de Tongelgreep and the Open Air Museum. There is also a miniature golf course as well as a full golf course.
Van Abbemuseum
Built in 1936, the Van Abbemuseum is a showcase of modern and contemporary art. Visitors will see the works of Chagall, Kandinsky and Picasso, to name a few. In addition to an exhibition section, there is an auditorium, multi media library, educational section and a restuarant. Van Abbemuseum is closed on Monday. Museum hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Liberation Monument, Bombardment Bas Relief and Liberation Bas Relief
There are a series of tributes to WWII. The Bombardment Bas Relief is a tribute to the 220 citizens of Eindhoven who were killed during the September 19, 1944 bombing by the Germans. The Liberation Monument is dedicated to the September 28th liberation at Normandy. The monument pays tribute to the Soldier, the Resistance Worker and the Civilian. The Liberation Bas Relief is a dedication to the meeting of American and British troops in Eindhoven.
St Catharina Church
This towering French Gothic church was built in the 1800s and is an architectural feature in Eindhoven. There is an excavation project currently underway in front of the church. The church is open daily for touring.
Museum Kempenland
The Museum Kempenland is an historical church and is located in the Steentjeskerk. The Museum Kempenland hosts 10 to 12 exhibitions each year. The museum showcases a collection of sculptures, painting and photos. The Museum Kempenland is open Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
De Collse Water Mill
Made famous by Vincent van Gogh, the mill is both a wheat mill and an oil mill. After your tour of the water mill, take a bicycle ride or hike on one of the many nature trails. The De Collse Water Mill is open on Saturday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Zwemparadijs de Tongelgreep
Considered a swimmers paradise, there are water slides, steam baths and several pools for toddlers. Smaller pools are connected with bridges and terraces and other water features. Outside the pool area there is a large tanning area. Zwemparadijs de Tongelgreep is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 5:30 pm.
