Museums in Eindhoven

Located at Bilderdijklaan 10, this is one of the best museums for contemporary and modern art. The museum has various collections that feature artworks collected right from 1908. There are over 2700 pieces of sculptures, paper works, paintings and video works. The Van Abbemuseum also has works of famous artists like Chagall, Theo van Doesburg, Picasso, El Lissitzky and Appel. The museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 11 a. m. to 5 p.m. On Thursdays it is open till 9 p.m.
Historical Open Air Museum
This is a one of a kind museum that tourists must visit when they come to Eindhoven. Situated at Boutenslaan, this museum can take visitors back in time to the Middle Ages and prehistoric times. The museum has historical and cultural exhibitions, including several archeological objects. Visitors can stroll along the farm houses that are centuries old, herb gardens and hayricks. They can also try their hands at being a blacksmith or brewing their own beer. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from April to October and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. from November to March. Tickets are about $8 for adults and about $4 for children.
Kempenland Museum
Situated at St Anthoniusstraat 5-7, the Kempenland Museum is housed in the old Steentjeskerk. This museum displays the culture and history of Kempenland, which surrounds Eindhoven . There is a permanent collection of artifacts that are grouped into four different themes. These include religion, sculpture, history and fine art. Every year, the museum organizes a series of changing exhibitions. The museum is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesdays to Sundays. Ticket prices for this museum are approximately $4.50 for adults and about $3 for children.

Van Abbemuseum
Edit ThisThis is one of Europe's leading museums for modern art. The Van Abbemuseum collection covers a period of about 100 years.
In total the museum now owns roughly 2700 works of art, of which 1000
are works on paper, 700 are paintings and 1000 are sculptures, installations
and video works. The collections international reputation is due to
the fine quality of the individual works of art, some of which are
world famous like Picasso, Kandinsky, Mondriaan and Appel. An absolute must to visit!
