An old village on the edge of the Drents-FrieseWoud. It is situated in Drenthe, a province in the north of the Netherlands. In the village itself you'll find old farms and an old church. Just outside the village is a "hunebed" a sort of dolmen. The village also has an living 'oracle'.
In Summer, an praiseworthy amateur open air theatre is operated. Every year a different Shakespeare play is performed (in Dutch).
In the woods nearby you can bike or hike for hours.
