Breda Museum

The Breda Museum was established over 100 years ago and is home to hundreds of pieces. The museum is divided into several exhibitions including the permanent Dust Bunnies exhibit. This exhibit is for children and has the feel of an attic with several toys on display. Kids can make their own dolls in this room. The Mirrors of Time displays time pieces and is another favorite exhibit.

General Maczek Museum

The General Maczek Museum was built to honor the 1st Polish Armored Division and the general who led them, General Maczek. The troops freed the city from German occupation during World War II. The museum features several artifacts and items used and historical documents pertaining to the success of the troops. The General Maczek Museum also features uniforms used, antique appliances, drawings, books, photos, movies and documents. One of the most interesting exhibits is the antique weaponry collection.

Graphic Design Museum

The Graphic Design Museum is a contemporary museum showcasing different styles and pieces of graphic design. The museum also displays different media used in graphic design including digital printing and an exhibit on color. The Graphic Design Museum offers workshops and seminars.

Bier Reclame Museum (Beer Advertising Museum)

One unique museum you should not miss is the Beer Advertising Museum. Located near the center of Breda, the museum holds hundreds of enamel signs and posters of old beer advertisements, which span the years from 1900 to 1960. It has the largest collection of beer advertisement in the Netherlands. Aside from the posters, you will also find brewery machines, neon lights, beer labels, glasses, ash trays and mats on display. The collection in the museum comes from different beer-producing countries including Germany, France, Ireland, Great Britain and Belgium. After exploring the world of beer advertising, you can relax and unwind at the museum’s pub, which serves 35 different beer brands. During the summer, there is an outdoor beer garden. The Bier Reclame Museum is open every Sunday, and admission is free. The museum is open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
