Eating Out in Bergen
Edit This
Bergen has very diverse meals on the menu. Places to eat range from the typical
Dutch version of the Chinese-Indonesian restaurant (which you can find
in any Dutch town) to Greek and Japanese restaurants. Italian and
French quisine are no problem either. A special remark deserves De
Kleine Javaan (The little Javanese), a - you guessed it - small
restaurant serving only Javanese food. In fact it has only one item on
the menu: the Javanese rice table. If you are in Bergen and you love
Indonesian food: don't miss it. It's so small (six tables) that during
the summer holiday season it might be wise to reserve a table in
advance (phone: 072 5818835). De Kleine Javaan can be found at the Loudelsweg 49, a ten
minutes walk from the center of town.
