Da Damiano

Just north of the Vondelpark (about half way), you will find this gem of a restaurant. The entourage may be a bit kitsch, but the food and the typical Italian service more than make up for it. The waiters asume that you will speak Italian and will start in Italian, then they will try Dutch, but they also speak English. Apart from the usual stuff you get in an Italian restaurant (pizza's, pasta's) they also have some specific plates from Sardinia where the owner probably was born. So if you are looking for good Italian food, or if you are Italian and homesick, this is the place to be.
