Café Stof
Edit ThisA local friend of us recommanded that we went out of the city centre to a hip and trendy area called 'de Pijp'. Indeed the neighbourhood was packed with locals.
Our friend send us to a restaurant called café Stof. A typical cosy Dutch restaurant. They diddn't have an English menu, but the waiter was more then willing to help us with the translation.
The food was great! International cuisine, with some Dutch dishes. I went for the (extremely tasty) Croatian ground meat as a starter and the fabulous veal as a main couse.
The service was very friendly and maybe the best we encountered in Europe.
A 3 course meal cost € 25 and that's cheaper then most restaurants in the city centre.
No wander all the locals flock here to eat and drink and try to avoid the touristy city centre.
