Sveti Stefan Travel Guide

This is the main tourist resort in Montenegro consisting of two luxury hotels and many surrounding lesser accommodations.  Many English visitors stay here and once you've visited you can see why.  White shingle and pebble beaches with crystal blue sea, backed by a shaded promenade with fantastic little cafes that are filled with the dodgy sound of "Balkan" Euro pop!  For the first time in many years, I truly felt I could spend a weeklong beach holiday somewhere, that somewhere being Sveti Stefan.

Since 2007 the Island of Sveti Stefani has been in private hands and no longer open to visitors.
