Herceg-novi Travel Guide

Herceg Novi is located close to the border with Bosnia Herzegovina and Croatia, some 70 km by road west of Podgorica the capital of Montenegro. Just north of the Bay of Kotor the strategical position of Herceg Novi gave the city its importance. Hardly surprising that the main sights are the city gates and some fortresses. You may also want to have a look at the church and the monastery of Savina.

During summer tourist season you can enjoy great nightlife in Herceg Novi. This town has a lot of interesting dance nightclubs, cafes and restaurants located by the sea, or placed on beautiful old fortresses.

A visit to Herceg Novi can be combined with Perast and Kotor.
