HELICOPTER SERVICE

A helicopter service connects Malta International Airport to Xewkija Heliport, Gozo. The flights are operated by Malta Air Charter on behalf of Air Malta and offer excellent connections for anyone arriving in Malta by air, whose final destination is Gozo. There are regular flights seven days a week. Fares for adults are Lm25 return, Lm16 one way. For passengers visiting Gozo (or visiting Malta from Gozo) for the day, the one day return fare is Lm20. Baggage allowance is 20kgs per passenger with a further Lm0.30 being charged per kilo of excess baggage.

Flights to Comino are available on request. Fares are the same as for Gozo flights.

Children fares (age 2 - 12) are half the adult fare. Infant fares (no seat) are 10 per cent of adult fares.

The helicopter service also offers sightseeing flights. Fares are Lm22 for 20 minutes and Lm30 for 40 minutes.

There are special concessions for senior citizens and also special day trip flights that include the use of a self-drive car for the day.
