Pervalka: The Dead Dunes

The Dead Dunes (also called the Gray Dunes or the Pyramidical Dunes) are one of the most fascinating sights in Neringa National Park.

These dunes are situated in the Nagliai Nature Reserve. It is highly protected and supervised. Noone can enter this Reserve. Although there is one special route, made for tourists by the Neringa goverment. Take this route and you will see what you have never seen before. There is a viewing platform in the dunes where you can look around. The Sea and the Lagoon are both seen from there. It is also possible to take a walk around these dunes. Just go where you see a lot of footsteps, because of gone too far, you can be penelized for entering the Reserve.

These Dunes can be found in the last stopover in the main (and the only one) road before the roadsign to the town of Pervalka if going from Juodkrante (the first stopover after Pervalka if going from Nida).
