1. The Riga Cathedral

This picturesque attraction bifurcates the ancient town from the new city center and is a favorite tourist haunt for its lush green expanses and the Freedom Monument that is housed just outside the park at the Brivibas intersection. If you’re visibly touched by the accounts of Latvia’s freedom from occupational forces, it is a customary ritual to leave some flowers at the monument.

Situated a little down the main Elizabeth Street are fantastic places to catch a snapshot of Riga’s kaleidoscopic culture.
